S.T.A.R.S. of Florence is a South Carolina nonprofit corporation (501 C3) organized to provide the children of Florence Area a structured discipline through athletics.  S.T.A.R.S is short for “Sports That Achieve Real Success”.

Through the structure of organized sports activities, children can learn life enhancing principles such as teamwork, self discipline, confidence, responsibility, and hard work.  The S.T.A.R.S. foundation mission statement can be recognized by its definition of commitment.  Simply put S.T.A.R.S. commitment as “the inner drive that leads you to greatness if you are true to it.”  The measure of greatness will be defined by a child’s ability to achieve his or her individual goals.

S.T.A.R.S. is a 12,000 square foot indoor sports complex containing basketball courts, batting cages and several other indoor sports.  This building is located at 1409 S Church Street in Florence, SC.
